Until recently the price of post-production was running at a tremendous cost. Edit bays, graphic stations and sound design all needed to be housed inside one expensive media fortress.
Technology has changed all of this. We’re living in a day and age where you can harvest songs from a musical virtuoso in the UK, get voice over from a seasoned professional in New York and review edits from across the globe. Distances have been closed and priced driven down.
Oddly enough many post facilities are already implementing these technologies, yet still need to charge extravagant rates to over operational costs.
